Very Important To Stretch Before Playing
(Appeared 03/01/2008 to 03/31/2008)
Make sure you properly stretch before you play. Injuries will not help your golf game in future games. A high amateur athelete usually warms up 30 to 45 minutes prior to the sporting event, whether it's golf or marathon running. Prevention is the key. James King, Teaching Professional

The season is getting closer...are YOU ready?
(Appeared 03/07/2010 to 04/15/2010)
Some of use have been lucky enough to travel to warmer climates and play a few games of golf, others have not. With the season getting closer, are you ready for the demands of swinging a golf club when we get started? Most of you think you are but the majority of golf injuries happen within the first few weeks of the season. Help combat this by start with some stretching of key golf muscles (arms, legs) as well as doing a little bit of light exercise to make sure you are ready for the walking involved. Injuries can hamper and make our golf season shorter than what is already is in our climate. So be ready to swing those clubs when we get the season started. You will be happy you did.

Golf season is over...but is it?
(Appeared 11/25/2008 to 03/31/2009)
Is the Golf Season over? In our city it is, but some of us travel to hotter climates to enjoy the game we love. We may not be swinging a golf club until we get to those locations so our body may not be ready for the movement of the golf swing. Make sure that light stretching and light swinging of a golf club in a garage or basement with a tall ceiling takes place which could eliminate injury during your vacation. After all, it is a vacation and we would love to enjoy it with a nice pain free round of golf.
